The Rhinebeck Foundation for Community Based Primary Care is a charitable organization that operates independently from the private medical practices it supports. This page describes the principles and safeguards that govern its work, so that residents, donors, and partners can understand how the Foundation makes decisions and remains accountable.
Our Operating Principles
As a charitable organization, the Foundation operates independently of any medical practice it supports. Specifically, the Foundation:
- Does not practice medicine or make diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical triage decisions.
- Does not own, control, or share revenue with private medical practices.
- Does not accept payment for patient referrals.
- Does not guarantee patients or revenue to supported practices.
- Does not favor practices because of relationships with directors, donors, or advisors.
- Uses charitable funds according to community needs and objective program criteria.
